The InveCom Journal is the product of the evolution of the Asociación Investigadores Venezolanos de la Comunicación, which held its first congress in 2007.  Although the journal was initially created to meet the needs of communication researchers, its thematic focus has now expanded to include the social sciences and humanities. Original research, systematic reviews, and bibliometric analyses are accepted.
