Cervical cancer remains a major challenge and a global health concern, affecting thousands of women worldwide. In the early stages of the disease, radical surgery, specifically hysterectomy, is considered the most appropriate and recommended treatment. This procedure seeks to offer a quick and effective solution, given the high mortality rate associated with this type of cancer. In order to delve deeper into this topic, the present study proposed to carry out a systematic review following the PRISMA protocol. Studies published between 2018 and 2025 were analyzed, located in databases such as Scopus, Scielo, Medline, Pubmed and Latindex; Of the total of 150 related works, a total of 22 articles were exhaustively delved into, in which studies that compile and present relevant information about the treatment in question were identified. From the analysis, it is concluded that radical hysterectomy remains the treatment of choice for women with cervical cancer, consolidating itself as the gold standard to prevent future complications.
