Hermeneutics of language: The meaning of popular sayings

A person is a being that interprets his world, his work, his life and relates to others. From there, from the desire to be, came hermeneutics, before the Greek word hermeneucin, which means the art of interpreting. At first it was about the interpretation of sacred texts, but then it was about facts that included life, communication, education, politics, law, etc. Hermeneutics shows different interpretations of the same topic with greater or lesser precision. The purpose of this article is to explain a group of popular phrases known as "proverbs" that are part of the collective imagination and influence behavior to a certain extent. This is a sociocultural field that is clearly still concerned with the power relations created by the unconscious use of language. The research is a documentary study according to the bibliographic method, using the humanistic paradigm and the qualitative method, documentary design, research-interpretation type, providing reading technology and information organization and analysis tools. We have simplified the analysis for obvious reasons of space, but others can elaborate on this subject. It is seen that hermeneutics is not alien to daily life and the expressions that we use daily in social and popular relations.Downloads
